Job Description
At Regions, the Agile Product Owner represents business stakeholders to elicit, understand, analyze, document, refine and communicate business needs, so that business and/or technical delivery teams can build effective solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

Partners with sponsors, stakeholders, and Information Technology to facilitate, define and document relevant business processes, gaining an understanding of the needs, measures, and risks and controls for the improvement area

Works with management and other stakeholders to understand and validate business strategy and vision and customer needs

Works independently on small complexity efforts, or in support of a Senior or Lead on larger efforts

Assists with project level plans related to schedule, scope and resources

Provides just-in-time story elaboration to designers, business analysts, developers, testers and others to develop, execute and release in alignment with program and/or product roadmap

Reviews, and when appropriate, accepts and prioritizes feedback and new requirements from stakeholders

Reviews and accepts or declines output of development to ensure specified acceptance criteria have been completed

Works with the business process owners to manage and track benefits, adoption and risks to operations

Escalates issues, develops and recommends appropriate solutions

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field and three (3) years of relevant experience in process improvement, project delivery, business/requirements analysis or business operations/product line

Preferences

SAFe Practitioner (SP), SAFe Agilist, or SAFe Product Owner/Manager certification

Skills and Competencies

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills

Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

Experience in Process Engineering methodologies and Change Management practices

Familiarity or working knowledge with multiple technical software delivery methodologies (i.e., Agile, Waterfall)

Proven ability to utilize data and analytics to formulate recommendations, solve business problems, and drive business improvements

Strong customer service orientation

Additional Job Description

Develop and Review Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for system enhancement requests and evaluates results

Actively participates in system release management activities, such as user acceptance testing, SME for reviewing procedures and training, pilot/production support.

Subject matter expert for system capabilities and how they meet the business needs

Participates in prioritizing system changes to support business group and enterprise strategic objectives

Manage risk by ensuring business objectives, activities, system controls and functionality meets or exceeds Regions risk management expectations or protocols

Facilitates communication with key stakeholders across business and technology

May assist in vendor relationship management including responding and sending requests, managing risks, and ensuring compliance adherence

Advanced concepts, practices, and procedures for analyzing business processes

Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to lead and influence cross functional teams

Background and understanding of banking

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.

This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in‑office expectations.

Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point‑of‑market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Job Range Target
Minimum : $84,570.75 USD

Median : $110,550.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans : This job is not incentive eligible.
