Job Title: Production Artist II / Graphic Designer II

Location: Beaverton, OR (PHK) – Hybrid(4 days onsite, Fridays remote)

Duration: 6 Months Contract


Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Artist II / Graphic Designer II to support a dynamic Basketball Apparel Graphics team. This role sits at the intersection of sport, design, and culture, helping bring graphic concepts to life across tees, cut-and-sew apparel, athlete products, and retail collections.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both Production Art and Graphic Design for Apparel, with expertise creating production-ready artwork, graphic schematics, apparel line art, color application, trims, screen printing techniques, and graphic execution across multiple product categories.

This position requires a detail-oriented designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and enjoys the technical side of apparel graphic creation while collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the product creation process.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and finalize graphic details across Basketball apparel products including tees and cut-and-sew apparel.
  • Develop detailed graphic schematics and production-ready artwork files.
  • Create apparel line art illustrations, laydowns, and product pages.
  • Prepare documentation and production files for downstream partners.
  • Apply expertise in screen printing, graphic applications, patches, heat transfers, trims, and graphic execution.
  • Support color design initiatives and graphic placement strategies.
  • Utilize both 2D and 3D tools to visualize and execute apparel graphics.
  • Review strike-offs and ensure graphic accuracy through final approval.
  • Track, maintain, and update graphic files throughout the product creation lifecycle.
  • Participate in production art meetings and cross-functional alignment sessions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and workflow efficiencies.
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of Graphic Design and/or Production Art experience in an apparel environment.
  • Experience working on Tees and Cut & Sew Apparel.
  • Strong Production Art and Graphic Design experience.
  • Experience with screen printing, graphic applications, patches, heat transfers, and trims.
  • Experience with Color Design.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong understanding of the apparel product creation lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of graphic applications, ink types, and trim substrates.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Passion for Basketball, Sports, or Athletic Apparel.
  • Experience working with athlete products and athlete-driven projects.
  • Experience creating repeats and All Over Prints (AOP).
  • Experience with AI-assisted design tools.
  • Experience using 3D apparel programs such as CLO or Browzwear.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet, Airtable, and Miro.
  • Previous industry experience is a plus but not required.


Portfolio Requirements:

  • Candidates must provide a portfolio containing:
  • 3–5 project examples demonstrating design process and workflow.
  • Production Art schematics.
  • Apparel Graphic Design examples.
  • Apparel line art illustrations and laydowns.
  • Color Design examples.
