National Account Manager
The ideal candidate has demonstrated successful selling to large volume strategic distributors and buying groups in Foodservice Distribution. The candidate will work remotely and travel to customer accounts as necessary.
Cultivate and maintain strong, quality relationships with key decision-makers at assigned corporate distributor customers across multiple functions, including Sales, Procurement, Marketing, and Supply Chain.
Create and implement comprehensive, multi-year business strategies for assigned national customers to achieve and exceed sales and volume targets.
Gain a deep understanding of the customer's market, operational needs, sustainability goals, and supply chain complexity to provide tailored product recommendations that enhance their brand(s) and efficiency.
Lead contract and program negotiations, including pricing agreements, service level agreements, and annual renewals, ensuring mutually favorable terms and profitability.
Work closely with internal Supply Chain, Planning, and Operations teams to ensure consistent product availability, on-time delivery, quality control, and the efficient management of product transitions and rollouts.
Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities, able to identify and prioritize issues, work with the correct internal teammates and drive toward resolution.
Possess a strong work ethic and desire to drive effectiveness across the organization, foster teamwork, earn trust of co-workers, and put organization above self-interests.
Work closely with the National Distribution sales force to keep them informed of corporate-led initiatives to drive local support and execution.
Weekly responsibility to provide sales updates and activity through CRM.
BS/BA degree preferred plus a minimum of 5-10 years' experience selling foodservice multi-unit operators and distribution.
Must be able to travel frequently (30-50%) including some overnight travel as needed.
Individual with a strong history for developing sales growth plans and meeting or exceeding those plans.
Proven ability to seek, grow and maintain relationships.
Demonstrated project management skills along with strong verbal, presentation and negotiation abilities.
High proficiency in Business Warehouse, SAP, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $100,000 - $160,000 + bonus + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. At Novolex, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
