Product Manager III - Drinking WaterThe Product Manager III is responsible for defining and executing the strategic roadmap for Zurn Elkay's Pro Filtration platform. This role owns the end-to-end product lifecycle - from market insight and strategy development to new product commercialization and lifecycle management.The position plays a critical leadership role in driving new product development (NPD), new technology development (NTD), and customer adoption, working cross-functionally across engineering, sales, marketing, and operations. The Product Manager III will also serve as a key voice of the customer through direct engagement with professional channel partners and end users.Reports to: Sr. Product Management DirectorKey Focus AreasDevelop and execute the long-term product roadmap for the Pro Filtration platform aligned to business growth objectivesIdentify market opportunities, competitive gaps, and emerging trends to inform strategic directionLead pricing strategy and product segmentation to optimize growth, profitability, and market shareOwn and manage the NPD project funnel, ensuring a strong pipeline of innovation initiativesLead cross-functional teams through the stage-gate process from concept through launchDrive business case development, including market sizing, financial modeling, and ROI analysisEnsure on-time, on-budget delivery of NPD initiatives with clear commercialization plansDefine and manage the new technology development (NTD) funnel to support future platform differentiationPartner with Engineering and Innovation teams to translate long-term capabilities into viable product solutionsBalance short-term product needs with long-term technology investmentsConduct regular customer visits with contractors, distributors, and end usersGather Voice of Customer (VOC) insights to influence product development and continuous improvementDeliver technical product training to customers, sales teams, and channel partners to support adoptionAct as the subject matter expert (SME) for Pro Filtration drinking water solutionsDrive Pro Filtration adoption through close partnership with commercial teams (Sales, Channel, Marketing)Develop go-to-market strategies, including launch plans, messaging, and sales enablement toolsSupport key account engagement and large project opportunities requiring technical expertiseMonitor adoption metrics and adjust strategies to accelerate growthManage the full product lifecycle, including product rationalization, cost optimization, and margin improvementTrack product performance, including revenue, profitability, and market shareIdentify opportunities for product enhancements, extensions, or sunset decisionsQualifications / RequirementsBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field10+ years of product management, product marketing, or related experience in manufacturing or industrial marketsProven experience leading NPD projects and product strategy developmentStrong commercial acumen, including pricing, margin management, and market analysisExperience working directly with customers and channel partnersTechnical aptitude with the ability to understand engineered product solutionsMBA or advanced degree (preferred)Experience managing both NPD and early-stage technology pipelines (NTD)The compensation range identified below are a good faith estimate of the salary expected to be paid as performed from these locations.
