Job Summary
As an Associate Account Manager, Point of Care, you will advance the power of diagnostics for a healthier future. This front‑line, customer‑facing, quota‑carrying role drives sales and growth of QuidelOrtho POC product lines, including Sofia, NuLexa, Lyra, Triage, QuickVue brands. You work across Long Island, NYC, and North New Jersey territory, training on products, shadowing experienced sales representatives, and building customer relationships to grow existing accounts and develop new ones.
Responsibilities
Acquire knowledge about QuidelOrtho, Point of Care, Diagnostic Markets, Healthcare, Marketing and the Sales function.
Participate in all training programs, assignments, and in‑field activities.
Grow existing accounts and develop new accounts to meet territory revenue and profitability goals.
Effectively manage the sales pipeline from lead acquisition to contract signing, advancing customers through the sales process.
Strategize plans and organize territory for profitability.
Build and execute account profiles, sales opportunity assessments, account objectives and strategies, action plans, and value assessments.
Utilize Salesforce/CRM and sales tools to secure territory intelligence, record accurate and complete account activity, and maintain account and contact information.
Work effectively with functional groups to design appropriate deals and provide information on customer contacts, needs and preferences.
Build productive and strong collaborative relationships cross‑functionally to drive sales revenue and profitability.
Participate in field rides and attend trainings on QuidelOrtho products to customers and distributor representatives as needed.
Proactively convey timely information to the Regional Sales Director, Specialty Sales, Marketing, Sales Operations, and others to provide market intelligence, customer information, events, changes, and trends to maximize sales, revenue, and marketing opportunities.
Make sound fiscal decisions and ensure maximum return on investment for all expenditures.
Represent QuidelOrtho at trade shows and professional meetings as necessary.

Qualifications - Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Life Science, or related field; sales or healthcare industry experience preferred, or 3+ years equivalent work experience.
Minimum one year of work experience preferred; ideally 1‑3 years in Business‑to‑Business, Business‑to‑Consumer, Healthcare or Sales.
Experience in the medical device, capital equipment, healthcare or diagnostic market preferred.
Experience with distributor sales, hospital sales, and/or national accounts a plus.
Previous internship and leadership experiences preferred but not required.
Valid driver’s license and access to a suitable automobile for travel to customer sites, airport, etc.
Position not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Travel up to 70%.

Key Working Relationships
Field Sales – Collaborate and include the right people in the sales process at the right time to drive sales.
Sales Training – Collaborate with the team to meet learning milestones and participate in field training.
Corporate Personnel – Interact with QuidelOrtho Management, Human Resources, Finance, Commercial Enablement, Sales Training, Marketing, Corporate Accounts and Channel as required.
Work Environment
Typical outside sales environment. Requires self‑discipline, organizational skills and the ability to work autonomously in a home office environment.
Physical Demands
Must be physically able to travel up to 70%. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and access to an automobile suitable for travel to customer sites, airport, etc. Travel may include airplane, train, automobile, and overnights. Typical workday: 80% meeting with people and customers, 20% on computer, paperwork, or phone. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Salary Transparency
The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 and is eligible for incentive compensation.
