Video Editor
We are looking for bilingual individuals with strong technical video knowledge with a background and work experience in video editing to join our onsite Welocalize team in Austin.
Job Details:
Location: Austin, TX
Type of employment: W-2 contract (eligible for benefits based on hours worked).
Project duration: Open ended
Working schedule: 10AM-7PM Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday (40 hours)
Hourly flat rate: $27 USD
Successful candidates must have valid work authorization for the US with no need for sponsorship.
Key Qualifications:
American Sign Language or British Sign Language (this is a must)
Passion for digital video and knowledge of the film and TV industry
Possess a thorough working knowledge of common technical issues found in digital video and audio
Willingness to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, and changing environment
2-4 years of experience working with digital video
Ability to take initiative and troubleshoot video/system playback issues and identify trends to propose short and long-term solutions
Track record of responding quickly and decisively to issues
Effective verbal and written communication skills
The ideal candidate should have experience with all of the following:
Knowledge of subscription video content services and familiarity of their product offerings
Intermediate to advanced spreadsheet knowledge.
Professional/advanced proficiency in any other language would be a big plus. (optional but valuable)
