About The Role
Standard Capital is hiring a

Content Producer, Video

to build and operate our video content engine across the

Dalton + Michael

and the

Standard Capital

YouTube channels. We need someone who can create a robust video operation while preserving the direct, honest, founder‑focused tone of the series.

This person will work directly with Dalton Caldwell to manage the full video production workflow: owning the content calendar, coordinating weekly studio shoots in Palo Alto, orchestrating production contractors, and ensuring high‑quality videos are published consistently.

The ideal candidate already understands the

Dalton + Michael

series and its success factors: candid content, practical insights, and minimal fluff.

What You’ll Do

Own the content calendar across Dalton + Michael and Standard Capital video channels

Coordinate weekly in‑person shoots at our private studio in Palo Alto

Work directly with Dalton on video priorities, episode ideas, publishing cadence, and content strategy

Manage editors, designers, and other production contractors

Translate creative direction into clear briefs, timelines, and deliverables

Track videos through every stage of production: concept, shoot, edit, review, packaging, publishing, and post‑publication analysis

Review cuts and provide structured feedback to editors

Keep production organized so videos ship consistently and on schedule

Measure and monitor content performance, identify what works, and drive quality and engagement improvements

Develop a repeatable system for turning long‑form conversations into high‑quality clips and social assets

Who You Are

Have experience producing YouTube videos, podcasts, interview shows, founder content, or other digital video formats

Highly organized and able to manage multiple contractors and projects simultaneously

Comfortable working directly with a founder/principal and translating high‑level direction into execution

Understand YouTube as a platform, including titles, thumbnails, retention, clips, Shorts, and publishing strategy

Strong editorial judgment and can identify when a video feels sharp, boring, too polished, too long, or off‑tone

Familiar with Dalton + Michael and the show’s tone

Care about startups, founders, AI, and venture capital

Willing to travel to Palo Alto for weekly shoots

Low‑ego, detail‑oriented, fast‑moving, and reliable

Capable of managing creative work without letting projects drift

What We’re Looking For
The right person will preserve the clarity, honesty, and usefulness of Dalton + Michael while making the overall operation more consistent, higher‑quality, and easier to scale. You should manage editors and contractors, improve workflow, keep the calendar moving, and help us make better decisions about what to record, how to package it, and how to distribute.
