Overview
Schneider’s Field Service Representatives support equipment for power distribution and critical power infrastructure. They collaborate with customers, team members, and third‑party partners to perform assembly, startup, diagnostic, repair, and preventive maintenance on equipment from Schneider Electric and other manufacturers.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

Pre‑site preparation, startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modification of equipment

Problem‑solving with customers, electricians, sales partners, technical support, and District Service teams

Completion of field service reports, expense reports, preventive maintenance logs, and startup data sheets

Collaboration with Manager and Regional Service Director to resolve complex escalated issues

Continuous learning and training on products in the field and classroom

Additional Tasks (May Include)

Travel within the region for local or countrywide customer support, including overnight travel by vehicle or air

Assist senior technicians and Project Management on larger system start‑ups

Work alongside larger teams of FSRs and collaborate with Project Managers on higher‑complexity projects

Act on behalf of the District Service Manager to resolve operational issues as required

Qualifications

Associate’s degree, trade/vocational certification, military training, or equivalent experience in electrical‑related disciplines

Read blueprints/schematics

Understand principles of AC and DC power and related components

Minimum 2 years of field service repair and customer service with UPS systems, power distribution, and related equipment

Minimum 2 years of field services or equivalent industry experience

Adherence to safety procedures (lock out/tag out, compliance with safety programs, timely completion of safety training)

Identify hazards and report safety matters, incidents, and near misses

NFPA‑70E or OSHA experience preferred

Safe driving and vehicle operation skills

Proficiency with test and diagnostic equipment

Interpret schematics, drawings, and operation manuals

Write service reports, correspondence, procedures, and respond to customer questions effectively

Physical ability to perform strenuous tasks, lift up to 40 pounds, work outdoors in varied conditions, and stand for extended periods, including in confined spaces

English proficiency for communication with customers and teammates

Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) and ability to navigate company digital tools

The expected pay range is USD 68,000 – USD 102,000 per year. The compensation includes base pay and short‑term incentives, and individual pay is determined by performance, skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
