The Senior Director, Corporate Communications is responsible for shaping and executing the company’s global communications and marketing communications strategy. As a strategic leader, the role develops and implements comprehensive communication initiatives that support Sensata’s business objectives, enhance brand reputation, and foster stakeholder trust across internal teams, customers, investors, media, and the public. The incumbent reports directly to the Executive Vice President and Chief Growth and Transformation Officer and is based in Sensata’s Corporate Headquarters in Attleboro, MA.
Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with corporate objectives and brand positioning.
Lead all aspects of internal communications, including executive messaging, organizational announcements, employee engagement campaigns, and change management communications.
Oversee external communications, including media relations, public relations, thought leadership, and reputation management.
Partner with Investor Relations and Legal to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial and regulatory disclosures.
Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on communications strategy, crisis response, and reputational risk.
Manage corporate storytelling across channels such as press releases, speeches, social media, web, and video.
Build and maintain strong relationships with media, analysts, and key external stakeholders.
Develop and lead integrated marketing communications strategies that align with overall business goals.
Drive brand positioning and messaging while ensuring brand voice, visual identity, and storytelling are consistent internally and externally.
Develop metrics to assess communication and campaign effectiveness and ROI, and adjust strategies based on insights.
Manage and mentor a high‑performing communications team and external agency partners.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
Master’s degree or MBA preferred, but not required; working‑equivalency accepted.
15+ years of experience in corporate communications, marketing communications, or public relations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role at a public company.
Strategic Communication Planning: Ability to develop and execute integrated communication strategies aligned with business goals.
Leadership & Team Management: Experience leading cross‑functional teams and managing internal and external communication professionals.
Brand & Reputation Management: Proven ability to shape and protect corporate image across media, digital platforms, and stakeholder communications.
Crisis Communication: Skilled in managing sensitive issues and acting as a spokesperson during high‑stakes situations.
Digital & Social Media Proficiency: Familiarity with digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, and social media strategy.
Excellent Writing & Presentation Skills: Ability to craft compelling narratives and deliver executive‑level presentations.
Travel required: approximately 15–20% of the time.
Compensation Base Salary Range: $213,600.00 – $293,700.00
