Production Supervisor-Las Vegas

Nucor Rebar Fabrication is seeking a Production Supervisor for the North Las Vegas location. The role involves implementing company policies, ensuring safety and productivity, and managing workforce and inventory.

Purpose
The Production Supervisor will coordinate with the Branch Manager to establish and enforce safety standards, production schedules, and cost controls while supporting team performance.

Job Responsibilities

Direct leads and shop teammates with respect to safety, production volume, cost, quality, and meeting production schedules and delivery dates.

Manage workforce levels of all shop teammates and oversee scheduling of work hours, including overtime, to meet customer needs and control costs.

Oversee hiring, training, motivation, evaluation, and workshop team performance.

Coordinate branch inventory and order reinforcing steel to meet inventory goals.

Ensure machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained for efficient production.

Oversee proper authorization and purchase of replacement parts and recommend capital expenditures to management.

Provide the Branch Manager with operating data to maintain accurate costs and improve efficiency.

Maintain good employee relations, adhere to company policy, and apply disciplinary measures when required.

Minimum Requirements

Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Five to eight years of reinforcing steel fabrication or related experience, with at least three years supervising.

Knowledge of OSHA Industrial Safety Standards.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of related business, labor relations, cost accounting and industrial regulations and standards.

Experience implementing continuous improvement and/or related project management.

Special Demands

Work in a noisy manufacturing environment with known hazards.

Heavy walking, lifting, walking, sitting, standing, bending, and hand operation of tools and equipment.

Compensation
Return on Asset Eligible: Up to 33% of annual eligible earnings. Profit Sharing Bonus: 5-year average –20.17%.
