Hours
Rotating 12‑hour shifts; holiday and weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

Cultivate a safety culture that promotes zero injuries.

Oversee assigned department production shift activities (crush, refinery, milling, packaging, warehouse, boiler house, and/or elevator) to ensure operations run at highest levels of efficiency.

Ensure shift compliance with sanitation requirements and support monthly inspections and corrective actions.

Track and report shift productivity improvements.

Approve daily reports and KPRs for the assigned shift.

Report and troubleshoot operations issues.

Provide input to the Production Manager and Plant Manager during annual shutdown.

Support Process Safety Management programs, where applicable.

Work with the Safety/Environmental Manager to ensure compliance of shift in all aspects.

Help develop and drive Operations Excellence Plans to meet safety, quality, and production goals and show continuous improvement.

Support continuous improvement activities and act as a change agent for changes that occur in the shift. Monitor KPRs and help develop plans to bring shift in line with Operations Excellence goals.

Periodically participate in daily production meetings to align shift operations.

Participate in personnel investigations and recommend corrective actions.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

5+ years of experience in soybean crushing, oil refining, milling, oil packaging operations, or related activities.

High School graduate or equivalent required.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field preferred.

Proficiency with basic computer skills, including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word and other technical software packages.

Ability to work odd hours, weekends and rotating shift schedule required.

Work Schedule: 12‑hour rotating shift (48 hour week/36 hour week).
