For our client, we are seeking a Field Marketing Manager Startups to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will shape brand and customer engagement initiatives that strengthen market presence and business impact. You will collaborate with analytics, product, creative, and commercial teams to turn market insights into scalable campaigns, testing strategies, and performance improvements. The position offers the opportunity to directly influence customer engagement, conversion performance, and revenue growth within a Pharmaceuticals & Biotech environment.

Location: San Francisco, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $255,000 – $320,000 annually

Responsibilities

Own and manage the US Startups field marketing calendar, overseeing strategy, planning, execution, and performance measurement

Forge co-marketing partnerships with top-tier VCs and accelerators, focusing on portfolio engagement initiatives like Demo Day activations

Design and execute founder-focused events such as dinners, salons, hackathons, and workshops aimed at relationship building and lead generation

Collaborate closely with the Startup Sales and BDR teams to optimize pre-event targeting and post-event follow-up strategies for pipeline conversion

Develop scalable operational playbooks to streamline field marketing efforts across various regions and startup segments

Establish key performance metrics, dashboards, and ROI reporting for all startup-focused marketing programs

Act as the primary representative of the company within the startup ecosystem, establishing credibility with founders, VCs, and technical audiences

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in Field Marketing, Demand Generation, or Events at B2B technology companies, including 2 years specifically in Field Marketing

Proven track record working directly with startups, founders, and developers, rather than as an enterprise marketer occasionally engaging with startups

Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of field marketing events and programs, with a hands-on approach to both strategy and execution

History of scaling field or demand generation programs across multiple companies, not limited to a singular strong brand

Fluency in the VC and accelerator ecosystem, with established relationships and understanding of Demo Day dynamics

Experience in building field marketing from scratch or significantly rebuilding existing frameworks

Strong alignment with sales teams, facilitating account targeting and follow-up processes effectively

Operationally skilled in vendor management and performance tracking metrics
