Graphic Designer

Lou Malnati's Pizzeria · Springfield, IL, USA ·

Pay:
50.000 - 75.000
Job type:
Seasonal

Lou Malnati’s has been a Chicago icon for 55 years and Tastes of Chicago brings that same hometown pride to food lovers across the country. We’re looking for a Graphic Designer who can honor that legacy while helping us grow. This is a hands‑on creative role spanning two beloved brands, where your work will show up everywhere from email inboxes and social feeds to restaurant walls and shipping boxes. You’ll move fluidly between digital and print, bringing the same care and craft to a social ad as you do to a catalog spread or a press‑ready collateral file.

Responsibilities

Design digital and print assets for channels including but not limited to paid advertising, packaging inserts, email and website

Maintain brand standards across both Lou Malnati's and Tastes of Chicago

Design in-restaurant print collateral (signage, event materials, etc) for Lou Malnati's locations

Partner with external vendors and printers to ensure production‑ready files

Own email design end‑to‑end for Lou Malnati's and Tastes of Chicago — from product launches and seasonal sales to customer lifecycle moments

Design story templates and paid ad units that capture attention and feel true to the brand

Manage print production from start to finish — file prep, color management, proofing, paper selection and vendor communication

Collaborate with team in early‑stage campaign ideation and carry concepts through to finished, cross‑channel asset suites

Keep cloud storage, DAM systems, file naming, and version control clean and organized

Adapt and resize assets across formats and channels while preserving design quality and brand consistency

Keep a pulse on design trends and emerging AI tools that could sharpen our creative output

Qualifications

4+ years of professional graphic design experience balancing print and digital — in‑house brand or agency

A body of work that demonstrates strong typography, layout, hierarchy across channels with emphasis on digital storytelling and execution

Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Figma and Canva

Comfort with AI programs like (ChatGPT and Claude CoWork)

After Effects, or motion basics is a bonus

A working command of print production — color management, image prep, paper selection, bleeds, and pre‑flight

Ability to run multiple projects in parallel, hit deadlines, and keep files organized in a fast‑moving environment

Clear communication when presenting work, taking direction, and incorporating feedback
