District Market Manager – Florida
Join Scotts Miracle‑Gro’s dynamic sales team as a District Market Manager (DMM), driving profitable growth in all accounts within your assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Maximize growth opportunities within assigned geographic territory.
- Collaborate with regional resources to develop and execute district‑level sales plans to achieve assigned goals.
- Prospect and identify sales and margin growth opportunities.
- Establish effective relationships with key decision makers and business partners across regions, customers, consumers, and local opinion leaders.
- Identify and communicate local insights and competitive activity to influence marketing plans, tactics, and regional product development.
- Champion assigned geographic marketing plans.
- Lead talent management initiatives, including performance management, coaching, and development of staff.
- Build effective teams by attracting, retaining, and developing talent to meet market needs aligned with the sales growth plan.
- Manage assigned resources effectively—people and finances.
- Meet all administrative and compliance requirements.
- Drive utilization of technical tools to increase productivity and administrative efficiencies.
- Ensure a safe working environment for all associates.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of sales or account management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Previous supervisory or management experience.
- Proven ability to establish effective work relationships with key decision makers.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google applications.
- Willingness to submit to Scotts’ background‑check policy, including Motor Vehicle Record, drug test, and general background check.
- Current, valid driver’s license and ability to drive.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight travel.
Benefits & Compensation
Competitive salary range: $99,700 – $117,300 per year (incentive eligible). Additional compensation may be offered based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
