Regional Director, Women's Health Sales - The Regional Director is responsible for the sales and growth of Natera’s genetic testing products, including noninvasive prenatal testing, carrier screen testing, and miscarriage testing. The role focuses on achieving profitable growth in sales through planning, execution, and management of a sales team in the Northern California region.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Educate and recruit Key Opinion Leaders from the OBGYN medical community.
  • Be an expert in Natera’s technology and service offerings and represent the company to physicians and hospitals.
  • Develop and execute plans to ensure rapid distribution of all products.
  • Develop business plans based on sales goals, expectations, and available resources, including regional strategies and tactics.
  • Recruit, select, hire, and coordinate training of all sales professionals within your region.
  • Provide constructive feedback to sales professionals to maximize their potential.
  • Spend sufficient time, as defined by the VP, in the field with sales professionals to develop them and provide direction and feedback.
  • Provide direction based on field input, market assessments, and trends to ensure the region consistently implements "Best Practices".
  • Plan, design, and implement territory alignment based on maximum ROI.
  • Support sales professionals by providing guidance and career development.
  • Establish positive working relationships with all key customer segments (internal and external).

Qualifications

  • BA in Business, Marketing, or related field is required; MBA preferred.
  • Background in medical or biological sciences; clinical diagnostics preferred.
  • Minimum three years of physician sales experience in diagnostic laboratory business (preferably in a genetics laboratory).
  • Minimum five years of successful sales management experience, preferably in diagnostic laboratory business.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Proven track record of success in leading a team of salespeople to develop new markets, launch new products, and increase revenue quickly.
  • Award‑winning management track record.
  • Market knowledge and experience in reproductive health preferred.
  • Team oriented with excellent coaching ability.
  • Excellent initiative and self‑motivation.
  • Ability to maneuver through complex situations, internally and externally.
  • Strategic thinking and tactical execution.
  • Sense of urgency with a focus on leading a sales team to drive exceptional revenue growth.
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans.
  • Confidence in delivering record‑breaking growth, implementing successful sales strategies, and playing a critical role in the organization’s success.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Gmail, and Salesforce.

Compensation & Total Rewards

The total On Target Earnings (OTE) offer a competitive base salary and uncapped quarterly commissions. Additional benefits include a car allowance and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Compensation range for the first year OTE is $226,000—$263,000 USD.
