Full Time / Salary / ExemptWORK SCHEDULEFlexible, some Monday-Friday office hours required, lots of evenings & travel to recruitJOB SUMMARYThe Director of Esports is responsible for strategic oversight, daily management, comprehensive operation and advancement of Southern Nazarene University’s competitive Esports team. This position must work within SNU guidelines to provide Esports students with an exceptional collegiate experience while competing for championships. They must have a strong Christian commitment with a vital Christian faith and lifestyle while being supportive of the evangelical Mission of Southern Nazarene University “to make Christlike disciples through higher education.”RESPONSIBILITIESEssential Functions:Lead the day-to-day operations of the SNU Esports Program, ensuring the program functions with excellence and integrity.Oversee recruitment efforts for prospective SNU Esports student-athletes in collaboration with admissions and marketing. Maintain the established discount rate and team member targets.Supervise and mentor current SNU Esports team members, supporting both competitive success and student development.Coordinate practice schedules, competitions, travel (if applicable), and event participation.Maintain an active presence in collegiate esports leagues and conferences.Ensure timely communication with IT, Student Life, and other departments to support program needs.Oversee the SNU Esports Room, ensuring all gaming systems, peripherals, software, and streaming equipment are up-to-date and operational.Coordinates regular equipment maintenance, upgrades, and purchases as needed.Enforce facility rules and schedules for practices, open play, and community access.Develop, manage, and track annual budgets for both Campus Recreation and Esports programs.Ensure budget compliance with university policies and make strategic recommendations for program growth and sustainability.Prepare reports on participation, engagement, and program outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.Seek external sponsorships, grants, or fundraising opportunities to enhance program offerings.Required Qualifications:Southern Nazarene University is an expression of the Church of the Nazarene.
