Overview
AXA XL Risk Consulting is seeking a qualified Account Consultant to coordinate the scope and delivery of property loss prevention services to bundled and unbundled clients while partnering with underwriting to evaluate account risk quality. The role supports profitable growth and operates within a flexible, West Coast region‑based environment.
Responsibilities
- Utilize internal and external information, tools, and resources to evaluate account risk quality and communicate findings to the underwriting team clearly and concisely.
- Manage the scope and scale of loss prevention services delivered to a portfolio of bundled and unbundled clients, balancing client expectations, underwriting requirements, and service cost constraints.
- Work directly with clients to improve their property risk profile.
- Support the sales and marketing effort by promoting our brand and service capabilities to prospective clients and brokers, maintaining industry relationships.
- Enhance the environment at AXA XL by actively participating in process improvements and special projects.
- Lend expertise and experience to continually expand the knowledge and development efforts of other team members.
Qualifications
- Fire protection risk engineering experience.
- Industry experience in a field property loss prevention or Account Consultant position.
- Excellent knowledge of NFPA codes and FM data sheets.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Broad understanding of key underwriting decision points.
- Proficient customer relationship and negotiation skills.
- Proficient presentation skills, including written and verbal.
- Ability to summarize large amounts of information and deliver against deadlines.
- Understanding of the property insurance renewal process.
- Familiarity with RMS modeling and its construction characteristics.
- Knowledge of functionality of IT systems.
- Skilled in time management and work techniques.
- B.S. in Engineering (or equivalent) required.
- Professional designations such as Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), or Professional Engineer (PE) in Fire Protection preferred.
