This is to stage manage the International Human Rights Art Festival at the Wild Project Theater, 195 E. 3rd Street, December 7-13, 2026. Stage Manager will work directly with IHRAF Festival Assistant Producer Costanza Bugiani on building and running the programming. Stage Manager will liaise with all performances (55-60 or so) beginning when they are onboarded into the Festival in mid-September and through their tech performance and onstage presentation. They will mostly be in touch with you about props, changeovers etc. All tech questions (lights, sound, projections etc.) will go to the Technical Director. Stage Manager agrees to be onsite at the Wild Project from 10am – end of performances Dec 7-13. Tech will be 10-2, 3-6 each weekday, and 10-2 Sat and Sunday performances run Mon-Sun, 7 pm; Wed-Fri, 8:30 pm, and Sat-Sun, 3 pm. Total performance blocks: 12. On the first day (Monday, December 7), Stage Manager agrees to arrive at the Tank at 9 am. Stage Manager will operate as the production stage manager: they will manage all transitions, backstage, pre-show etc. The stage manager will be in charge of making sure run of show is as smooth as possible. Total pay $1500; $500 October 1; $1000 on December 14.
Experience
Must have experience with production stage management, preferably during a festival (running changeovers, tracking prop and set needs, understanding the need for quick changeovers, managing a backstage with many performers, etc.).

The International Human Rights Art Festival was founded at Dixon Place Theater (NYC) in March 2017, and incorporated as a 501c3 non-profit in August 2018. Since that time, we have grown into an international art-activist organization, featuring 2000+ artists from 115+ countries. We still honor our roots here in New York City, producing the IHRAF Festival every December, straddling International Human Rights Day, December 10, while adding other performance events every year!
