Internship Details

Fall 2026 Internship, in‑person, at WKRG‑TV & wkrg.com studios.
Unpaid, supervised by a station supervisor who evaluates attendance and performance.
Eligibility: college/university students; academic credit priority.
Applicants must obtain required credit forms and coordinate schedule with station supervisor.
Transportation responsibility lies with the intern.
Responsibilities

Assist in writing news stories and scripts using AP style.
Help create and edit video content with timeline‑based editing software (Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro).
Capture video, audio, and interviews using phone or camera.
Design graphics for articles on WKRG.com.
Support SEO and social‑media distribution of digital content.
Meet timely deadlines and adapt to changing assignments.
Qualifications

Current student in journalism, communication, digital marketing, or related field.
Basic understanding of AP style and writing for news websites.
Experience with video editing software is preferred.
Good time‑management skills and ability to work independently.
Learning Outcomes
