OVERVIEW
The Sales & Service Manager is a member of the store leadership team who drives ALO’s business and guest experience strategy in store. This individual is passionate about business targets, sales, and elevating talent to meet ALO’s guiding principles. The role’s north star is ensuring that guest experience in the store is exceptional. Duties require constant movement in and around the store, including the sales floor and back of house, and responsibilities extend to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Investigate and root cause sales opportunities, partnering with the General Manager to address process or system gaps.

Oversee the Sales & Service team to execute an exceptional guest experience through assessing guest connection, product education, and supporting team members with feedback and coaching.

Continuously build client relationships with customers.

Ensure effective sales floor coverage through workforce planning and lead selling initiatives across the store.

Partner with the General Manager to develop the Sales & Service strategy and execute implementation with the team.

BUSINESS LEADER

Represent the business in meetings and on conference calls in partnership with the General Manager.

Review, monitor, and partner with the General Manager to manage the budget, reporting, and other business data—including metrics such as expenses and sell‑through—and inform planning processes such as quarterly business reviews and sales planning.

Plan workflow to protect optimal performance and future business needs.

Ensure that the Sales, Service, and Community team embodies ALO’s mission and guiding principles, communicating who we are, what we do, and why we do it.

Lead a team through accountability, continuous coaching, talent development, and effective communication across operations and visual teams.

Establish internal and external pipelines through succession planning and recruitment strategy.

Write an effective schedule that prioritizes business strategy in partnership with the General Manager/Store Manager.

PEOPLE LEADER

Ensure the Sales, Service, and Community team exudes ALO’s mission and guiding principles to guests.

Lead through accountability and continuous coaching with regular talent development.

Elevate effective communication throughout Operations and Visual teams.

Establish internal and external pipeline through succession planning and recruitment strategy.

Write effective schedules that prioritize business strategy in partnership with leadership.

BUSINESS PARTNER

Oversee the execution of deliverables on the ALO Sales and Service Model, protecting operational efficiency.

Collaborate and implement the General/Store Manager’s vision and work cross‑functionally with partners to support organizational goals.

Navigate the organization balancing business needs and brand culture.

QUALIFICATIONS

3‑5 years of retail or related industry leadership experience.

Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Agile with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment.

Independent work ethic, time‑management skills, and personal accountability.

Requires constant movement in and around all areas of the store.

Aligns with and embodies ALO’s Guiding Principles.

Ability to lift, push, carry, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.

Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, twist, and safely climb up/down a ladder.

Ability to stand and move for an entire shift.

SCHEDULE
All full‑time employees are expected to be available for opening, closing, and weekend shifts, and to work during the company’s blackout period from the week of American Thanksgiving (including Black Friday and Thanksgiving weekend) through the end of the holiday season (the first week of January).

ADDITIONAL NOTE
Sales & Service Managers are eligible to participate in the company’s Monthly Store Incentive bonus program, which may increase total compensation. The compensation components listed are part of the broader rewards package for retail employees.
