Unit Director
Location: Milbank Reports To: Chief Operating Officer Classified: Full Time, Exempt Pay Range: $60,000–$70,000 Based On Experience
Mission: To inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.
Job Summary: The Unit Director leads day-to-day operations, public relations, and crisis management for all Units, Extensions, and Community Impact Sites in their assigned community. They serve as the face of the Club locally, ensure implementation of the 5 Key Elements of Positive Youth Development, and oversee Club policy compliance, programming, safety, and culture. The Unit Director engages regularly with parents, staff, and the administrative team.

Employment Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Demonstrated experience working with youth preschool through 12th grade
Proven management and supervisory experience, ideally in a youth-serving or nonprofit environment
Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, mentor, and hold staff accountable
Positive, solutions-oriented outlook
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Deep understanding of youth development principles and behavior management aligned with the Club's core values of fun, supportive relationships, recognition, high expectations, and safety
Ability to provide both immediate and reflective feedback that supports positive youth development
Physical Requirements:
Capacity to observe, interact with, and communicate effectively among youth, staff, volunteers, and parents to ensure a safe and supportive Club environment
Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods during a shift
Ability to safely operate general office equipment (computers, phones, copiers)
This position is safety-sensitive and requires consistent awareness of and responsiveness to the safety of all Club members
