About the Role

Sandra Darren and Robbie Bee are experiencing exciting growth, and we're building our Design team to support the next chapter of our business. We are seeking a talented Associate Designer with women's dress experience to join our Midtown Manhattan office. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and detail oriented designer who is passionate about fashion, dresses, color, fabric, and silhouette. The ideal candidate will work closely with our Design and Merchandising teams to help create compelling collections that meet the needs of today's customer.
Responsibilities

Collaborate directly with our in house sample room, including sewers, a cutter, and patternmakers, giving you the unique opportunity to see your designs evolve from concept to finished garment.
Assist in the design and development of seasonal dress collections
Create CADs, sketches, presentation boards, and color concepts
Research fashion trends, fabrics, trims, silhouettes, and competitive market trends
Participate in seasonal concept development and line planning
Work closely with Product Development, Technical Design, and Production teams throughout the development process
Review samples and assist with design comments and approvals
Prepare artwork, design packages, and factory communications
Help maintain calendars and track development milestones
Qualifications

4 to 5 years of women's apparel design experience
Strong dress experience required
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is a MUST
Strong sense of color, trend, print, and silhouette
Excellent sketching and CAD skills
Knowledge of garment construction and fit
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment
