International Multimedia Journalist III (Programming Directorate)

Job Details Location: Washington Headquarters - Washington, DC 20237
Salary Range: $44.55 - $44.55 Hourly
Primary Responsibilities Writes and produces news and feature content and programming as assigned for use in broadcasts, web, and social media
Serves as line producer and manages the timing and order of stories during programs
Conducts and writes up interviews for inclusion in stories
Voices material for/during broadcasts, including material prepared by others
Contributes to production elements of programs and content for broadcast, web, and social media, including fine editing of taped material, static and motion graphics
Adapts and/or translates content produced in English into the target language, as assigned
Versions content produced in the target language into English for distribution, as assigned
Participates in the creation and development of regularly scheduled or special radio, TV programs and/or web and social media sections
Edits and approves copy and content prepared by others for broadcast and/or publication for inclusion in assigned stories
Performs technical functions including operation of equipment
Contributes to teamwork, facilitating tasks of teammates as needed
Meets VOA standards for productivity, quality, and deadlines
Serves as videographer/reporter as assigned
Serves as anchor/program host as assigned
Makes suggestions about policy and workflow improvements
Works independently or as a member of a team
Ensures fluency in the target language (written and spoken) and deep knowledge of the target area, and ability to adapt stories into English within the time assigned
Logs and conducts data entry and other functions connected with VOA’s digital asset management system
Other related duties as assigned
