Position Summary
CCIS Travel is seeking a Vice President of Sales & Marketing to lead the next chapter of growth for our organization. This newly created executive leadership role will be responsible for developing and executing the company's overall sales and marketing strategy while leading an established team of four sales professionals, including the current Director of Sales. Working closely with ownership and the Vice President of Operations, this leader will modernize our sales and marketing systems, strengthen customer acquisition efforts, improve revenue forecasting, and expand our presence within the student travel and group travel markets. The ideal candidate is a strategic, results‑oriented leader who thrives on building scalable systems, improving performance, and driving measurable growth. They combine strong analytical thinking with decisive leadership and are energized by solving complex business challenges, implementing new technologies, and creating structure that supports sustainable growth. This individual is proactive, achievement‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards for themselves and their team. They are equally capable of developing long‑term growth strategies and executing the day‑to‑day initiatives required to achieve ambitious business goals.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Marketing

Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion

Identify and pursue new geographic territories and customer segments within the group travel industry

Build and manage modern lead‑generation campaigns across digital advertising, email marketing, SEO, social media, and industry events

Refresh and strengthen the company's market positioning while honoring its 33‑year legacy and reputation

Oversee website management, content strategy, and social media initiatives

Manage referral, research team, frequent traveler, scholarship, and grant programs

Sales Leadership & Team Development

Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing sales team of four professionals

Partner with the Director of Sales to identify growth opportunities and future staffing needs

Establish a structured sales process with clear accountability and performance expectations

Implement consultative selling methodologies tailored to educators, school administrators, and parent organizations

Improve conversion rates, sales effectiveness, and overall team performance

Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and performance excellence

Establish clear expectations, measurable goals, and consistent standards across the sales organization

Drive strategic initiatives while balancing multiple priorities and growth opportunities

Mentor and develop team members through coaching, performance management, and leadership development

Technology & Data Strategy

Partner with the Vice President of Operations to evaluate, select, and implement a modern CRM platform

Develop reporting dashboards to monitor pipeline health, marketing performance, booking trends, and revenue forecasts

Utilize data and analytics to identify growth opportunities, improve conversion rates, and optimize sales performance

Develop structured reporting processes that support informed decision‑making and accurate forecasting

Design customer retention and lifecycle marketing programs that increase repeat bookings and client loyalty

Financial & Executive Leadership

Manage sales and marketing budgets across digital, print, trade show, and event initiatives

Develop accurate revenue forecasts and executive reporting for ownership

Ensure alignment between sales projections, operational capacity, and customer delivery expectations

Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to overall company growth and strategic planning

Required Qualifications

7+ years of sales and marketing leadership experience, including at least 3 years in a Director, Vice President, or comparable senior leadership role

Experience leading sales growth for a small to mid‑sized business generating approximately $5M–$15M in annual revenue

Proven experience implementing, migrating, or optimizing CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar systems

Experience managing complex B2B consultative sales cycles involving multiple decision‑makers and customized solutions

Strong understanding of digital marketing, lead generation, content marketing, email automation, and customer acquisition strategies

Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing sales teams

Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change, implement new systems, and successfully drive adoption across teams

Strong strategic planning, analytical problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities

Proven ability to manage multiple high‑priority initiatives while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and execution quality

Results‑oriented leadership style with a track record of building accountable, high‑performing teams

Experience using data, reporting, and performance metrics to guide business decisions and revenue growth

Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship‑building skills

Ability and willingness to travel nationally for client meetings, conferences, industry events, and business development activities

Preferred Qualifications

Experience within the travel, tourism, hospitality, or student travel industries

Experience selling to K‑12 schools, educational organizations, performing arts programs, or related markets

Familiarity with group travel operations, tour planning, or educational travel services

Experience leading organizational growth, modernization, or digital transformation initiatives

Compensation, Benefits & More
Compensation

$125,000 annual salary with performance based bonus opportunities up to $40,000 for a total on‑target earning (OTE) of $165,000.
