Job Summary
We are looking for a highly creative, self‑starter public relations intern to support our corporate communications team at Cruise Planners, an American Express Travel Representative in Coral Springs, FL. The role focuses on copy and content creation for our largest event, Convention, and on supporting media relations and social media activities.

Responsibilities

Build media lists using Cision and research editorial calendar opportunities for pitching.

Draft press releases, announcements, bylines, editorial and advertorial copy, news pitches and articles.

Maintain a social media content calendar and post regularly across channels.

Write weekly blog posts and keep blogs up to date.

Copy edit press materials.

Research news outlets and journalists.

Engage on social media channels and participate in monthly travel chats.

Track and measure the success of PR campaigns.

Qualifications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; writing samples and portfolio will be reviewed.

Knowledge of AP Style practices.

Strong work ethic and self‑starter mentality.

Organizational skills.

Passion for the travel and cruise industry.

Ability to commute to the Coral Springs, FL office daily.

Availability: 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., 3 to 5 days a week.

Start date: late June; end date after December 13.
