Position Description

Hands-on experience creating real 3D models using Tekla Structures software
Exposure to how structural steel projects move from design to fabrication
Work alongside experienced detailers, engineers, and project teams
Opportunities to collaborate, ask questions, and learn in a real corporate environment
Gain an understanding of industry standards, drawings, and steel terminology
See how your work impacts actual projects being built
Program is offered exclusively in Topeka, Kansas
Position Requirements

Engineering Students

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering
Completed coursework in Computer Graphics or Engineering Graphics
Strong interest in structural design, construction, or steel fabrication
Ability to read and interpret basic drawings or willingness to learn
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Drafting Students

Currently enrolled in a drafting or design technology program
Must have completed at least half of the program
Familiarity with CAD or similar drafting software preferred
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new software (Tekla)
Interest in structural steel, construction, or design
Ability to work in a team environment and take direction
