Assistant Designer, Women's Intimates

IHL is looking for an Assistant Designer to join our Women’s Intimates team! In this role, you will work closely with the Design Director to create and merchandise exciting new branded collections. Responsibilities

Produce clear and detailed technical sketches.

Create tech packs.

Communicate technical and creative ideas to the design director and technical designer.

Communicate with overseas factories & hold manufacturers accountable for T&A.

Track sample progress.

Review and comment on print strike offs and lab dips.

Sourcing fabrics and trims.

Create mood boards and seasonal catalogs.

Attend fittings, understanding the fundamentals of fitting.

Create seasonal binders to organize collection information.

Shop stores for new ideas / comparison shopping.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design.

Entry-level 1-3 years experience.

Highly creative and positive addition to company culture.

Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize.

Expert level Adobe Creative Suite proficiency.

Job Logistics
Location: New York, NY – Midtown West.

Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $40,000 to $52,000.
