Job Summary
Supermicro is seeking a quality focused, self-starting Multimedia Specialist with an eye and drive for creating stunning corporate videos and eye‑catching photography of high‑tech products and subject matter in a fast paced environment where projects are most often requested to be completed in days instead of weeks. The ideal candidate must possess an eye for industry standard visual trends with the ability to work with product managers, bullet point topics or pull from Power Point Presentation content and website product pages to create a compelling storyline that highlights feature benefits and applications of the product. Experience in managing a video set—including set lighting, video camera, lens operation, and sound— is required, as is technical mastery of video shooting and ability to direct talent and subjects to obtain the best on‑camera performance. As a Photographer, the candidate should achieve the most attractive and visually stunning editorial photography, with mastery of light, shadow, positioning, and commercial catalogue photography for print and web. The candidate will also need to maintain a comprehensive archive and record of all assets created and make them available to the team as soon as preparation is complete. The candidate must be detail oriented down to the pixel, a strong deadline manager, and able to provide professional direction while being collaborative and flexible with management input.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Video shooting and scene set‑up, including set selection, lighting, camera operation, sound operation, and direction of subjects

Production of all video content

Video editing up to three‑camera editing, including music, sound effects, and selection

Product photography for catalogue, web, and editorial/advertising usage

Maintain and manage on‑site photo studio

Schedule product photography and video shoots with product manager, on‑screen talent, and other necessary team members

Participate in all creative meetings

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Minimum 3 years in an agency, corporate art department or video production environment; IT industry experience is a plus

Familiar with digital media marketing using Web or social media

PC proficient, highly experienced in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop CS, plus MS Office tools including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel

Proactive, self‑starter who functions well independently, flexible, positive attitude, able to perform under pressure

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Be punctual and routinely available

Organize priorities to manage workload

Proficient in Adobe Premiere and Adobe Photoshop CS

Proficient in the entire Adobe Suite (a plus)

Proficient in motion graphics (a plus)

Proficient in storyboarding (a plus)

Proficient in graphic design (a plus)

IT experience (a plus)

Salary Range
$71,000 - $90,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
