Job Description
NJ/NY Gotham FC (“Gotham FC” or “the Club”) is a National Women’s Soccer League (“NWSL”) team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, NJ. The Role
We are hiring a Temporary, Full-Time Junior Videographer & Editor who thrives in fast‑paced environments and has a passion for storytelling to capture and produce video that reflects the intensity and bold spirit of Gotham FC. Our ideal candidate has a solid foundation in capturing and editing sports content, with an instinct for creative, trend‑conscious content that connects with fans. This position will need to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and bring initiative into their work. With content deliverables supporting both sponsored and non‑sponsored activations, this position should bring a creative mind to elevate our storytelling, productions and brand. Reporting on the content team, this person will help bring Gotham FC to life across screens everywhere for Gotham FC, our partners, and more!

Key Responsibilities

Capture, edit and deliver content for partnership contractuals, matchday, events and more

Ideate and lead creative on assignments, campaigns and custom series for partners

Elevate and promote Gotham FC’s brand through content to increase fandom

Take initiative to generate content that embody our BE GFC mantras

Generate content to tap into and lead social media trends

Videography

File management, media organization, and backup workflows

Sports and live event capture

Quick turnaround from capture to post on match days

Innovative thinking on how to capture

Ability to stage & manage production sets, inc. camera operation, lighting, sound

Familiarity with equipment (Sony, Canon)

Editing

Color correction

Audio mixing skills

Brand integration of fonts, colors, logos, etc., especially for partnership series

Trend‑conscious to stay ahead and on brand

Editing & exporting for different platforms/aspect ratios; web, TV, LEDs, etc.

Qualifications

1‑3 years of experience in videography, video editing, or digital content production

Strong sense of pacing, music selection, and storytelling for short‑form video

Awareness of current content trends

Strong visual storytelling instincts

Ability to take creative direction and feedback while also contributing ideas

Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro required

Working knowledge of After Effects (motion graphics, basic animations)

Experience shooting with DSLR/mirrorless cameras

Understanding of lighting, composition, and audio capture techniques

Ability to manage projects from shoot → edit → delivery

Fluency, both personally and professionally, with major social media platforms

Able to work nights, weekends, and matchdays as the team’s schedule demands

Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Location
Based at Gotham FC’s business office, located at 15 Exchange Place, Jersey City, New Jersey, on a hybrid working schedule consisting of three core in‑office days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and two non‑core days (Monday, Friday), with the option of being in the office or remote. Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events as well as away games, as necessary. Ability to travel for other business‑related needs as they arise. Ability to work at the team’s soccer operations office in Whippany, New Jersey, as needed. Gotham FC requires its associates to live within reasonable commuting distance of Gotham FC’s offices, practice facility, and Sports Illustrated Stadium.
