About DreamWorks Animation: DreamWorks Animation is a leading producer of high-quality, award-winning animated films and series, creating immersive worlds for audiences worldwide.
Internship Overview: Interns work in an engaging environment alongside creative leaders. The role focuses on assisting Technical Directors, developing production tools, and providing technical support to artists.

Program Dates: September 28 – December 3, 2026
Schedule: Part-Time (24 hours per week) – In Person (Tuesday – Thursday). Hybrid arrangement requires office presence as specified.
Responsibilities:
Observe and assist Technical Directors with writing tools for the production pipeline.
Craft and develop new software tools and applications to assist artists in large‑scale feature animation productions.
Test, debug, and extend existing tools and systems.
Provide technical support to production artists.
Support additional administrative and data‑wrangling tasks as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
Programming experience.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently.
Currently pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate degree at a college/university (or equivalent), or a recent graduate within six months.
Minimum age 18 years.
Willingness to work in Glendale, California.
Ability to provide own relocation, housing, and transportation.
Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Desired Qualifications:
Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Visualization, or Digital Media (or equivalent).
Knowledge of computer graphics.
Experience with project‑tracking software such as Jira.
Understanding of digital content creation applications such as Maya, Houdini, and/or Nuke.
Interest in Feature Animation.
Solid grasp of revision control systems such as Git.
Familiarity with user experience (UX) concepts and/or user interface (UI) design and development.
Compensation: Hourly Rate: $17.87.
Hybrid Arrangement: This position has been designated as hybrid, requiring in‑office presence for a minimum of three days per week (four days starting January 5 2026). The company reserves the right to change in‑office requirements at any time.
