BOP Manager

Our onshore wind client has a requirement for a freelance BOP Manager to oversea civil works for their WTG concrete tower assembly team.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and control project costs, ensuring delivery within approved budgets and identifying opportunities for optimisation
Oversee contract compliance throughout the civil works and site preparation phases
Work closely with site teams to develop and maintain detailed project schedules, resource plans and risk mitigation measures
Ensure all sites are adequately resourced in terms of personnel, equipment and materials
Monitor progress across multiple sites, prepare reporting and provide clear updates to internal and external stakeholders
Support site supervisors in resolving construction issues, delays and technical challenges
Maintain full compliance with health and safety, quality and environmental standards across all activities
Act as a key link between site operations and internal departments during the construction and site readiness stages
Requirements

Degree in civil engineering, construction management or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
At least 5 years' experience managing construction projects, ideally within wind energy, infrastructure or heavy civil works
Strong commercial awareness with proven experience in budget control and cost management
Experience in project planning, including scheduling, resource allocation and risk management
Ability to resolve issues effectively in a fast-paced construction environment
Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
Good understanding of wind farm construction activities, equipment and applicable standards
Familiarity with project planning and cost control tools such as MS Project or Primavera
Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to site as required
