About Carv
Carv produces a wearable ski motion sensor paired with an AI coaching app. We are launching a phone‑only product alongside Carv 2, opening an expansion tier that brings personalised on‑snow coaching to a wider audience. This expands our funnel from a single hardware SKU into a layered offer: freemium mountain guide, phone coach, tracker upgrade, with new growth mechanics at each step.
Responsibilities
Own the launch and optimisation of the phone‑only product end to end: app store listing, onboarding, activation moments, paywall, free‑to‑paid conversion, social growth mechanics, retention loops, and upsell.
Define and instrument acquisition funnel metrics at each stage and set targets.
Diagnose under‑performance and run experiments to lift conversion, maintaining a continuous experimentation cadence with clear hypotheses, measurement, and decision points.
Partner with Marketing on store listing, landing experience for paid traffic, and creative‑to‑product handoff.
Own the iteration roadmap for the phone‑only product, prioritised by impact on growth metrics.
Translate quantitative findings and qualitative customer insights into shipped changes, using session replays, reviews, and user feedback to inform the backlog.
Make design decisions and establish a high‑quality design pipeline using AI tooling, producing flows, prototypes, high‑fidelity mockups in Figma.
Use code scaffolders (Claude, Codex, etc.) to build and test experiments and internal tooling, comfortable in terminal.
Operate as the primary voice of the phone‑only customer, building dashboards and maintaining the feedback loop between funnel data, customer conversation, and product decisions.
Define the upgrade path from phone product to Carv 2, instrumenting it to support sensor sales without cannibalisation.
Track and improve CAC and LTV for the phone product.
Qualifications
3–5+ years as a growth PM at a consumer app, D2C business, or subscription product, with proven acquisition or conversion metric ownership.
Hands‑on experience shipping funnel wins, specific experiments and measurable lifts.
Strong quantitative rigor: design experiments that answer questions, read dashboards critically without over‑claiming from small samples.
Highly customer‑focused, spending time understanding customer dynamics to inform work.
AI & Tooling: comfortable using Claude, Codex, Cursor, etc., with concrete examples of AI improving output and pace.
Proficient in learning new things: run design processes, build prototypes, learn codebase, and build tooling without waiting on support.
Design fluency: deep understanding of funnel and customer design, copy, microcopy, spacing, motion, etc.
Bias to action, initiative, learning agility, customer obsession, autonomy, and high standards for quality.
