Operation Manager – Control Tower
Location: USA – Auburn Hills, University Drive | Division: Road – 4PL | Time Type: Full Time

Job Summary: The Operation Manager – Control Tower will oversee the day‑to‑day operations of DSV's transportation and logistics division, ensuring safe, efficient and cost‑effective operations. The role includes managing staff, developing and implementing operational policies, maintaining relationships with customers and partners, and collaborating across departments.

Duties And Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all aspects of the transportation and logistics division, including planning, scheduling and coordination to ensure timely and efficient delivery.

Develop and implement operational policies, procedures and systems to improve efficiency, quality and safety.

Manage staff, including hiring, training and performance evaluation.

Monitor and analyze performance metrics such as productivity, cost and quality, and develop improvement plans.

Maintain strong relationships with customers, partners and vendors, ensuring satisfaction.

Collaborate with other departments (sales, customer service) to align business objectives.

Educational Background / Work Experience

Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management or a related field (preferred).

5+ years of experience in transportation and logistics management, preferably in a supervisory or management role.

Skills & Competencies

Strong leadership and management skills to motivate and develop staff.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across levels of the organization.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to identify and address operational issues.

In‑depth knowledge of transportation and logistics processes, regulations and industry best practices.

Proficiency using transportation management software (TMS or WMS).

Knowledge of lean principles and methodologies (plus).

Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsible for managing a team of operations staff.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management or a related field.

Experience in international transportation and logistics management.

Language Skills

Fluency in English (oral and written).

Computer Literacy

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with transportation management software.

Compensation & Benefits
Expected base pay range: $75,000 – $92,000 annually. Benefits information available through the DSV Benefits Showcase.
