Business Relationship Manager (IT) (Industrial Solutions)

This position will be based at the BorgWarner Arden facility in Western North Carolina and will transition to a new facility in Hendersonville.

Key Responsibilities

Advise business on how to maximize their investment in IT and identify opportunities for leverage of IT.

Gather and analyze business requirements, focusing on business value and leveraging global and regional IT org to address these needs.

Stand accountable to the business for overall IT delivery and coordinate other efforts.

Plan IT budget and monitor IT spend to effectively meet Plant and Business Unit IT targets.

Work between internal/external IT service providers and the business to develop Service Level Agreements (SLA) and negotiate.

Communicate and negotiate with business leaders or process owners on deliverables.

Direct projects toward desired technology strategies and standards.

Report to business and IT on project status and IT performance (scorecard).

Identify opportunities for business operational efficiency and drive specific metrics for cost saving and value realization.

Perform other duties as needed.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical degree.

Business analytical skills confirmed by working experience, preferred in the Automotive Industry and SAP ERP.

Experience in digital manufacturing (IoT, Industry 4.0, RPA) is a plus.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including trainings and presentations.

Experience in systems analysis and problem solving.

Very good English in writing & speaking.

IT project management (Scrum, Agile) experience is a plus.

Strong customer management skills and ability to understand and translate complex business requirements.

Attention to detail and ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others and work harmoniously as part of a team.

Ability to work directly with middle to senior management as well as employees at all levels throughout the organization.

Ability to prioritize multiple projects, work under tight deadlines, and handle changing priorities.

Subject‑matter expertise in both the business and the IT technologies used in the business.

Strong analytical skills, negotiation, relationship management, financial and business case development.

Project Management, ITIL (service management, SLA, scorecards).

Next Generation Competencies (Plus)

Data Science and Business Analytics.

Machine Learning and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
