Golden Gate recruiting is hiring for an early‑stage AI startup backed by Browder Capital, one of the earliest investors in Wander.com. The startup has closed their Seed round, and are now building the sales foundation that will take us to the next level. This is a rare opportunity to join at the ground floor and shape how the company goes to market.

The Role
As the Founding Account Executive, you’ll be building the playbook. You’ll work directly with the founders to define ICP, refine messaging, run full‑cycle sales, and establish the repeatable motion that our future sales team will scale. This role is for a builder who thrives in ambiguity and gets energized by figuring things out from scratch.

What You’ll Do

Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close across the target segments

Partner with founders on positioning, pricing, and packaging based on real customer signals

Build and document the sales playbook : discovery frameworks, objection handling, competitive positioning, and deal structure

Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline with accurate forecasting

Work closely with product to feed in customer insights that directly shape the roadmap

Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and in online communities

Hire and mentor future AEs as the team grows

What We're Looking For

Kind, smart, and organized

3+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience

Experience selling into technical teams, RevOps, finance, etc.

Proven ability to build pipeline independently : you don’t wait for leads to come to you

Comfort operating in early‑stage environments where the playbook doesn't exist yet

Strong discovery skills and a genuinely consultative approach

Clear, compelling communicator : in person, on video, and in writing

Excitement for AI and the ability to explain complex technology simply

Bonus Points

Prior experience as an early sales hire (first or second AE) at a startup

Experience selling AI, developer tools, or data products

Existing relationships in [target industry/persona]

You’ve personally used AI tools to make yourself more efficient
