U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand seeks a Creative Director and New Media Strategist to join her communications team. This role would work with the Communications Director to develop digital first strategies, rapid response, and grow the Senator’s online presence across media platforms. This role is based in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
Lead outreach and pitching to new media and creators
Oversee weekly and long‑term new media planning
Spearhead office's rapid response efforts
Produce and edit short and long‑form videos across multiple platforms
Develop graphics showcasing the Senator’s leadership, including infographics, flyers for in‑state events and other visual media content
Manage digital staff
Possibly travel to record and edit content
Qualifications
Fluency and proficiency in video editing and graphic
Ability to produce high quality under tight deadlines
Ability to translate complicated legislative/policy ideas into compelling media
Experience with photography and videography a plus
