Position Overview

Director of Policy will support the development and execution of Dexcom’s reimbursement strategy across private, public, and government programs. The role contributes to policy analysis, cross‑functional coordination, and implementation efforts to ensure optimal access to Dexcom products.
Responsibilities

Support analysis and communication of access and payment policies proposed by government and commercial payers, including CMS rules, guidance, and legislative proposals.
Monitor and synthesize policy developments, translating implications into actionable insights for internal stakeholders.
Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants, supporting engagement efforts with policymakers and other stakeholders, including CMS and industry groups.
Serve as a subject matter resource on U.S. coding, coverage, and payment, partnering cross‑functionally to assess potential financial and business impacts of policy changes.
Partner with Government Affairs to track and analyze federal and state legislative and regulatory developments affecting access to Dexcom products.
Support internal education efforts on evolving managed care policy and reimbursement dynamics, including Medicare (Parts A, B, C, and D), Medicaid, exchange plans, and value‑based payment models.
Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to inform and implement policy and advocacy strategies aligned with business priorities.
Contribute to the development of strategic plans that identify and prioritize policy opportunities to advance U.S. business objectives.
Assist in executing strategies to secure and maintain coverage and reimbursement for Dexcom products.
Help monitor payer landscape changes and support efforts to mitigate access risks and optimize coverage.
Represent the company at industry conferences, patient forums, and public events.
Lead a team of professionals in developing and executing policy objectives.
Qualifications

7+ years of relevant experience in healthcare policy, reimbursement, government, or advocacy organizations.
Working knowledge of the healthcare reimbursement environment, including coverage, coding, and payment, and familiarity with reimbursement program design and implementation.
Direct experience working with or within diabetes devices is highly desirable.
Experience analyzing complex policy issues and supporting quantitative or financial impact assessments.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
Strong analytical and communication skills, including the ability to clearly synthesize complex information for diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams and contribute to cross‑functional initiatives.
Understanding of healthcare, medical device, or biotechnology industry policy dynamics.

Approximately 20%.
Location

Remote work from home; hybrid option available for those within 75 miles of a Dexcom site.
Salary

$172,400 – $287,300.
Other Requirements

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of industry experience and 9+ years of successful management experience in a relevant industry.
