Assistant Editor: Licensing & Pop-Culture Books

Chronicle Books is seeking a creative Assistant Editor to join its Art & Entertainment publishing group in San Francisco. This role will involve editorial and project management for a variety of commercial books and formats, focusing on key licensing relationships.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for pop culture, will independently acquire 6-8 titles yearly, and will work collaboratively with authors and other stakeholders. A hybrid work schedule of at least three days in-office per week is expected.
