Job Summary
The technical writer is responsible for the comprehensive development and ongoing
maintenance of documentation on both enterprise and solution architectures. This
encompasses a wide array of artifacts, including high-level designs (HLDs), detailed system
specifications, established integration patterns, and formal architectural decision records. A
core aspect of this responsibility involves creating clear, concise, and visually compelling
architecture diagrams. These diagrams are essential for illustrating current ("as-is") and future
("target state") architectures, depicting intricate data flows, outlining system components
and interfaces, and explicitly addressing scalability and security considerations within these
visual representations.
Duties & Responsibilities
 Candidates must possess a minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in
technical documentation, with a demonstrated track record specifically within
complex enterprise software, data platforms, or large-scale IT environments.
 A strong foundational understanding of solution architecture, system design principles,
and infrastructure documentation is imperative.
 This includes familiarity with common architectural patterns, failover setups, latency
considerations, and distributed systems, which are all critical in robust enterprise
environments.
 Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise architecture concepts and their practical
application in real-world scenarios is expected.
 While not strictly mandatory, familiarity with established frameworks such as TOGAF or
Zachman is highly advantageous, and specific experience with DODAF is considered
a significant asset, particularly for government-related contexts.
 The ability to quickly comprehend and articulate complex technical concepts related
to modern cloud technologies (including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS), APIs, databases,
networking, and the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) is also a core
requirement.
