Job Overview

Operations Technician III – responsible for supporting pipeline operations in the Montpellier area of the Pocatello District. Duties include reading and interpreting drawings, inspecting equipment, maintaining operation and technical standards, performing data analysis, and ensuring safety and compliance.
Responsibilities

Safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations.
Read and interpret engineering drawings.
Inspect, supervise equipment, and maintain operational and technical standards and/or governmental requirements.
Analyse data and collaborate with others to resolve technical or operational problems.
Follow all company policies and apply appropriate operating and maintenance procedures.
Acquire knowledge of requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, protecting environment, personnel, and assets.
Maintain general knowledge of site/location equipment and specific permits and compliance.
Complete assigned reports, logs, and maintain accurate records of process operations and performance of preventative maintenance.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED and minimum 3 years as an operations technician or similar.
Preferred: Associate’s or 2‑year technical degree and minimum 2 years of multifaceted operations technician experience in the oil and gas industry.
Valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record.
Ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency.
Excellent organizational/interpersonal skills; safety as a priority.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC skills.
Proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers.
Physical and Environmental Requirements

Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces.
Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads >50 lbs as needed.
Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, squat for long periods.
Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, or small towers with appropriate PPE.
Work Hours, Travel, and Shift Requirements

Available to work after hours, on‑call rotations, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed; may work overtime (10–12 hour shifts) and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays.
Other Requirements

Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record.
