Position Overview


We are looking for a strong leader/manager with journalism skills. The perfect fit would be someone who has managed radio news‑writers/editors and anchors. The position is responsible for copy reviews and anchor air‑checks, will run a very busy news‑desk, and hand out assignments nationwide. The employee must work in the newsroom; this is not a remote job.


What You'll Do



  • Write/edit and produce news text and audio.

  • Manage regional & national news desk.

  • Assignments, planning & content management.

  • Work with news centers across the county to cover breaking news for local, regional and national coverage.

  • Perform copy reviews with writers.

  • Perform air‑check reviews with anchors.

  • General newsroom responsibilities.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Extensive news radio experience.

  • Leadership and management skills.

  • Proven track record of solid news work.

  • Strong journalism skills.

  • Highly experienced news writing background.

  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced yet flexible environment.
