Greenlight America is the leading grassroots campaign force powering the nation’s clean energy transition at the local level. Founded in 2023, we support local organizations and volunteers working to get clean energy projects built in their communities. In the past two years we have advanced roughly 15 gigawatts of clean power to the grid, approximately 10x the size of the Hoover Dam.

Position Overview
The Regional Campaign Manager leads Greenlight America’s campaigns for clean energy projects across their assigned region. They develop campaign strategies, support partner organizations, cultivate the leadership of volunteers, and track deliverables to ensure that Greenlight America effectively mobilizes grassroots support for clean energy projects. A successful candidate will have a multi‑disciplinary campaign skill set in strategic planning, organizing, communications, lobbying, and coalition management, and will approach challenges with flexibility and creativity. The position is remote within the assigned region and reports to the Senior Manager, Campaigns.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

Lead campaigns for clean energy projects and ordinances in the assigned region, working with partner organizations and local leaders to mobilize volunteers and secure siting approvals primarily at the local level.

Develop campaign plans, including goals, strategies, and tactical timelines, in collaboration with partners.

Track campaign milestones and seize opportunities.

Provide support to partner organizations and volunteer leaders through regular check‑in calls, training sessions, and advocacy materials; collaborate with other campaign staff on shared resources for Greenlight America’s campaign hub model.

Build relationships with organizations in the assigned region—including environmental, labor, faith, farming, social justice, and business groups—in collaboration with Greenlight America’s partnerships team.

Oversee grant agreements with partner organizations and ensure deliverables are met; engage in regular reporting of campaign data.

Work with consultants and manage campaign budgets.

May occasionally take on campaigns outside the assigned region.

Compensation and Benefits
The base annual salary range for this position is $75,000-$100,000. Benefits include 100% employer‑paid premiums for medical, dental, and vision insurance, unlimited paid time off, a monthly technology stipend, and retirement contributions through 401(k) and Roth plans. Placement within the stated salary range will be based on the candidate’s years of relevant professional experience.

Experience and Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who have the following qualifications:

3+ years of relevant experience in grassroots organizing, issue advocacy, community engagement, political campaigns, coalition management, or similar fields.

A successful track record of achieving ambitious campaign outcomes, with local‑level experience highly valued.

Strong project management skills and attention to detail.

Experience working with partner organizations and volunteers, and the willingness to meet people where they are to build alliances across the political spectrum.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to speak with people at all levels of expertise and seniority.

Experience with digital campaigning tools and tactics.

A willingness to think creatively, take risks, objectively evaluate results, and iterate in a fast‑paced environment.

A passion for accelerating the clean energy transition.
