Days / Shift: Monday through Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm (with flexibility to meet agency needs)Position Type/Classification: Full-Time; Non-ExemptPosition Summary:The Development & Marketing Coordinator supports fundraising growth, donor engagement, and community visibility through marketing, communications, and development operations. This role is responsible for coordinating day-to-day marketing initiatives, managing social media, creating communications materials, maintaining donor data systems, and supporting fundraising campaigns and events.This position blends creativity, organization, and relationship-centered communication to strengthen awareness, donor retention, community engagement, and revenue growth for SafeSpace.Job Responsibilities:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain an all-inclusive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.Marketing & CommunicationsImplement strategic marketing, public relations, and social media plans to increase visibility and engagementCreate and schedule social media content across platformsCreate flyers, graphics, brochures, annual report content, event materials, and promotional campaignsDraft press releases, email campaigns, newsletters, donor communications, and solicitation lettersMaintain consistent brand standards, messaging, positioning, and tone of voice across all communication platformsUpdate website content and assist with digital communicationsCapture, research, and share impact stories that inspire support and strengthen community connectionCollaborate with staff to brainstorm and develop creative campaigns, visuals, and messagingTrack engagement metrics and provide monthly marketing performance summariesDevelopment SupportProcess and acknowledge donor gifts in a timely and accurate mannerMaintain and update donor, volunteer, and prospect records in CRMPrepare donor lists, mailing lists, segmented outreach lists, and routine fundraising reportsSupport fundraising campaigns, annual appeals, sponsorship outreach, and stewardship effortsAssist in expanding digital giving opportunities through marketing strategy and donor engagementSupport the Development Manager in achieving annual fundraising goalsMaintain templates, marketing files, and communication calendarsCoordinate printing orders, vendor requests, and production schedulesCollaborate with staff across departments to support agency goals and missionEvent & Community EngagementPromote fundraising events, campaigns, and community initiatives through marketing channelsTrack RSVPs, attendee lists, and sponsorship recognition materialsSupport post-event communications, stewardship, and follow-upRepresent SafeSpace at community meetings, workplace campaigns, and networking events when requestedAttend meetings, committees, and organizational functions as assignedRequirementsQualifications and Skills:4+ years' experience in marketing, communications, fundraising support, nonprofit operations, and/or administrative coordinationExperience creating graphics, flyers, brochures, annual reports, solicitation materials, and promotional campaignsSocial media management experience (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)Excellent written communication skills (emails, newsletters, donor appeals, press releases, captions, storytelling)Ability to create compelling content that inspires giving, engagement, and community supportExperience with Canva, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, or similar design platformsBasic video editing/content creation experience preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and donor CRM systemsStrong attention to detail and organization skillsAbility to manage multiple deadlines with minimal supervisionStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build authentic relationships with donors, volunteers, partners, and community membersComfortable handling confidential and sensitive informationNonprofit experience preferred but not requiredMust embrace the mission of SafeSpace, Inc.Valid driver's license and reliable transportationMust pass Level 2 background screeningCore CompetenciesProfessionalism and compassionAttention to detailReliability and accountabilityCultural humility and inclusivityProblem-solving and initiativeTeam collaborationTraining Requirements:Required onboarding training will be conducted at the Administrative office or designated location during the hours of 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Must successfully complete CORE Competency training provided by the agency within 90 days of employment and participate in ongoing mandatory education and skills training on relevant topics as required by statutory funding, certification of the agency or personnel, or as identified to improve employee performance.
