The Public Relations Account Executive plays a key role in developing and executing strategic earned media programs across a variety of agency clients. This person is a strong writer, proactive communicator and sharp media thinker who understands how to identify compelling story angles and turn them into meaningful coverage opportunities.The ideal candidate has solid agency or in-house PR experience, thinks like a reporter, has strong attention to detail and can independently manage day-to-day account execution with limited oversight. They should be comfortable owning media outreach, drafting press materials, managing timelines and communicating directly with clients while contributing to broader strategic planning and creative ideation.The Account Executive will collaborate closely with internal teams while helping drive earned media results for clients across industries including entertainment, hospitality, gaming, healthcare, sports, technology and consumer brands.Duties/Responsibilities: Serve as day-to-day tactical lead for clients, including both internal and external client calls and meetingsAssist in the development of strategic PR plans that will help maximize brand awareness and client ROILead creating, delivering, editing and optimizing PR materials: press releases, case studies, newsletter content, client talking points and digital contentCollaborate closely with internal teamsEnsure that messages support and are consistent with marketing strategies that produce measurable results for clientsDevelop comprehensive talking points to prepare clients for media interviewsCoordinate and facilitate media opportunitiesBrainstorm for creative and unusual ways to help clients stand out in the noiseReport and convey success of campaigns and initiativesUtilize strong communication skills to maintain solid and successful relationships with clientsResearch news coverage and industry trends in order to develop fresh story ideasWork with teammates across various agency departments in a collaborative settingRequired Skills/Abilities: Strong media relations experience with proven ability to secure coverage across local, regional and national media, including digital, print and broadcast outletsExcellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of AP Style and the ability to tailor messaging for media, clients and executive audiencesAbility to independently manage multiple accounts, projects and deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment with limited oversightStrong understanding of newsworthiness and the ability to identify timely, relevant and media-worthy story anglesExperience drafting and editing a variety of PR materials, including press releases, pitches, talking points, briefing materials and thought leadership contentConfident communicator with experience participating in client calls, presentations and day-to-day account managementStrong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage shifting priorities and deadlines effectivelyAbility to think strategically and proactively while also executing day-to-day tactical responsibilitiesCollaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally across PR, social media, creative and account teamsExperience developing media lists, conducting proactive outreach and building relationships with reporters, producers and editorsComfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic agency settingExperience tracking, analyzing and communicating earned media performance and campaign resultsEducation and Experience: Bachelor's degree in public relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field preferred#J-18808-Ljbffr
