Zillow Media Experts seeks experienced photographers for part‑time real‑estate media work in Raleigh, NC. Photographers will capture high‑quality photos, videos, and Zillow’s 3‑D interactive floor plans to help agents market listings. The role requires driving between job sites in the local market, capturing media, and uploading results.

About the role
This is a part‑time position in Raleigh, NC. Photographers typically work 10‑20 hours per week, depending on location and business needs. During periods of high demand, hours may exceed 20. Opportunities for full‑time employment may arise.

Responsibilities

Capture industry‑leading still photography, listing videos, 3D or 360° virtual tours, drone photography & videos (when needed), and social media videos for for‑sale or for‑rent properties.

Use advanced photography techniques and equipment to showcase the unique features and aesthetics of each property.

Coordinate and interact with clients on‑site to understand their specific photography needs and expectations.

Provide guidance and direction to clients and property owners during sessions to achieve desired results and maximize visual impact.

Use proprietary technology to create engaging rich media experiences.

Ensure all photographs adhere to brand guidelines and accurately represent properties.

Maintain photography equipment (cameras, lenses, accessories) for optimal performance.

Organize and upload captured media for post‑processing, meeting all deadlines and appointment punctuality.

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually improve skills.

Develop creative concepts to showcase each property’s unique selling points.

Collaborate with Regional Managers, Market Leaders, photographers, and external partners to deliver cohesive visual assets for marketing campaigns.

Adapt to future media, product, service, capture, or processing changes.

Represent Zillow Media Experts professionally.

Field position
Employees work primarily in a specified geographic location set by management. They are expected to live within a reasonable commuting distance to their region or service area. Commute expectations vary; employees use discretion to determine suitability.

Pay ranges: In California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington, and Washington DC the base hourly rate is $24.10‑$38.50. In Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virginia the rate is $22.90‑$36.50. These ranges may not apply to other locations.

Who you are

Experienced photographer, preferably in real‑estate, who captures high‑quality media.

Excellent customer service and professional communication skills; engage clients daily.

Motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to capture a home efficiently while maintaining high quality.

Punctual and consistently meet communicated deadlines.

Independent worker comfortable working solo.

Requirements

Ability to learn Zillow Media Expert processes and computer systems.

Experience shooting high‑quality real‑estate photos, videos, 3D tours, and drone media.

Deep understanding of photography fundamentals with DSLR/Mirrorless systems.

May be expected to obtain an FAA Part 107 drone license and complete training when needed.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to drive within a 60‑mile radius of City Center.

Minimum of 20 hours of availability per week; typical part‑time does less.

Preferred internet upload speed of at least 15 Mbps.

Located near Raleigh, NC.

Required Equipment

Professional full‑frame or crop‑sensor DSLR/mirrorless camera capable of 5‑bracket Auto Exposure Bracketing (e.g., Canon R7, R5, 6DmkII, 5DmkIV).

Wide‑angle lens (Full‑Frame 15‑35mm, Crop 10‑22mm).

Ball Head or Geared Head Tripod (Video Fluid Head Tripods not acceptable).
