Job Overview
The Media Sales Specialist will work directly with recognized brands, agencies, and vendor partners to secure advertising revenue and establish themselves as a trusted resource for clients. The Specialist manages their own accounts, collaborates with Sales Leads for larger accounts, and creates sales materials such as presentations, RFPs, and custom proposals. They collaborate with cross‑functional teams to maximize revenue while ensuring client satisfaction.
What You Will Do
- Build a pipeline of prospective accounts by identifying and nurturing leads.
- Cultivate relationships to expand and develop client accounts.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to create sales collateral and account information.
- Collaborate with media planning, operations, analytics teams to devise marketing strategies for both on‑site and off‑site initiatives.
- Provide exceptional client service by responding promptly to requests.
- Analyze campaign results to find opportunities to improve client satisfaction and performance.
- Generate innovative ideas to enhance Macy’s Media Network offerings and feed insights to product development.
- Create an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships with colleagues, customers, and communities.
Skills You Will Need
- Sales and Negotiation: Proven ability to secure advertising revenue and build strong relationships with recognized brands, agencies, and vendor partners.
- Customer Service: Excellent responsiveness and follow‑up to ensure client satisfaction.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze campaign results and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Online Advertising Expertise: Deep knowledge of online advertising, including exchange and audience‑based selling; experience in retail media highly desired.
- Communication and Presentation: Excellent verbal and written communication to convey ideas and proposals.
- Stakeholder Management: Experience managing vendors, agencies, media owners, and cross‑functional teams.
- Detail‑Oriented: Strong attention to detail in marketing activities, including sales collateral, presentations, reports, and project plans.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field; 3–5 years of ad‑sales experience for on‑ and off‑site media, including selling into agencies.
- Must be able to sit, talk, use hands, and reach within the workplace. Requires close vision.
- Qualified to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
