Certified Reporter Scopist Job at Virtual Vocations Inc in New York

To ensure the highest quality transcript production, the full-time Certified Reporter Scopist will review, edit, and proofread legal transcripts remotely, maintaining accuracy and adherence to style guides while collaborating with reporters and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities

Review and proofread legal transcripts for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and formatting
Verify transcript content against audio to ensure a verbatim and error-free record
Prepare final transcripts for production, including digital signatures and proper archival of files

Required Qualifications

Certification as a Certified Shorthand Reporter (CSR), Certified Court Reporter (CCR), Registered Professional Reporter (RPR), or Certified Verbatim Reporter (CVR) required
Proficiency with CAT software editing tools and Microsoft Office Suite
Minimum touch-typing speed of 70 wpm with high accuracy
Experience with transcript editing preferred
Professional demeanor with a client-first mindset and commitment to confidentiality
