We are seeking a proactive, organized, and research-driven Media Outreach Specialist to help expand our brand presence through media bookings and strategic outreach.

This role is ideal for someone who is naturally curious, enjoys researching both established and emerging media channels, identifies opportunities others may overlook, builds professional relationships, and develops strategic outreach initiatives that expand visibility and audience reach.

The Media Outreach Specialist will play a key role in identifying, cultivating, and securing meaningful interviews, speaking engagements, podcast appearances, and media opportunities that elevate both company and talent visibility.

Responsibilities

Research and identify relevant media opportunities across both traditional and emerging channels, including podcasts, YouTube channels, broadcast media, digital publications, newsletters, conferences, speaking engagements, influencer platforms, strategic partnerships, and other audience‑building opportunities.

Continuously research evolving media landscapes, audience trends, and emerging platforms to identify new opportunities for brand visibility and audience growth.

Analyze media trends, audience demographics, and industry conversations to identify strategic outreach opportunities.

Conduct strategic outreach to channel hosts, producers, journalists, editors, conference organizers, and media contacts.

Coordinate, schedule, and manage interviews, appearances, media opportunities, and related logistics.

Build and maintain targeted media and contact lists.

Maintain and organize outreach pipelines, media lists, contact databases, calendars, and follow‑up communications internally and externally.

Draft outreach emails, media pitches, and communication materials.

Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with media contacts, industry influencers, event organizers, and strategic partners.

Track outreach performance, booking metrics, media placement results, and campaign effectiveness.

Collaborate with internal content teams to align messaging and outreach strategy.

Conduct ongoing competitor and industry research to identify new opportunities for visibility and growth.

Support event planning and appearance coordination.

Assist with sponsorship and affiliate outreach initiatives.

Draft light PR materials, talking points, and outreach messaging.

Research conferences, speaking engagements, and networking opportunities.

Prepare talent for interviews by researching hosts, audiences, and topics.

Support internal marketing and brand visibility initiatives.

Proactively identify unconventional or emerging opportunities to expand brand awareness and audience reach.

Qualifications

Strong research, written, and verbal communication skills

Exceptional organizational skills with strong follow‑through and attention to detail

Ability to identify and evaluate high‑value media opportunities

Confident initiating professional conversations and building relationships with new contacts

Ability to manage multiple conversations, projects, and deadlines simultaneously

Experience in media outreach, public relations, communications, podcast booking, marketing, audience development, or related fields preferred

Familiarity with CRM systems, spreadsheets, and outreach tools is a plus
