As a full‑time Brand Advocate with ActionLink, you won’t just drive sales—you’ll inspire creativity and bring the art of photography to life. This role is designed for someone who is passionate about

photography, visual storytelling, and imaging technology , and thrives on sharing that passion with others. Across Best Buy locations and photo specialty dealers, you’ll serve as Nikon’s in‑market expert—training retail teams, engaging with customers, and demonstrating how Nikon products help capture extraordinary moments. From hands‑on camera demonstrations to community engagement and live shooting environments, you’ll transform product knowledge into memorable, experience‑driven interactions that build brand loyalty and measurable results.

Schedule & Location

Full‑time role, 40 hours per week, including weekends

Best Buy locations and photo specialty dealers within assigned market

Your Mission

Drive sales performance by combining retail expertise with authentic photography knowledge, helping customers select the right gear for their creative needs

Build strong partnerships with Best Buy Blue Shirts, department managers, and store leadership to establish ongoing gear credibility and brand advocacy for Nikon

Deliver engaging product training that includes real‑world photography applications, increasing associate confidence and recommendation rates

Bring products to life through hands‑on camera demonstrations, showcasing features like autofocus performance, lens versatility, low‑light capability, and video functionality

Maintain strong in‑store presence and elevate merchandising and demo experiences to feel interactive, educational, and inspiring

Sell directly to consumers during peak traffic days, guiding customers through camera selection, settings, and use cases—from beginner to enthusiast levels

Identify opportunities to increase sell‑through based on customer behavior, photography trends, and store dynamics

Support photo specialty retailers and local events, leading live demos, shooting experiences, and community engagement activities

Represent Nikon at key retail events, product launches, and activations—creating immersive brand moments centered around photography and content creation

Track performance, gather insights, and report competitive intelligence with a focus on imaging trends and customer preferences

Territory Ownership & Execution

Own and manage a defined market, including multiple Best Buy locations and select photo specialty dealers

Determine weekly priorities based on business needs, photography events, and sales opportunities

Balance time across:

Relationship building and training

In‑store execution and merchandising

Direct selling and live demo days

Photography‑focused events and specialty channel support

Participate in local and out‑of‑market photography events, workshops, and activations (occasional overnight travel required)

Operate with autonomy while aligning to program goals and expectations

What We’re Looking For

2–5+ years of experience in retail sales, field marketing, consumer electronics, or photography‑related roles

Strong passion for photography or videography—professional experience or serious enthusiast background highly preferred

Working knowledge of camera systems, lenses, lighting, composition, and core settings (ISO, aperture, shutter speed)

Familiarity with major imaging brands (Nikon, Canon, Sony) and the broader camera ecosystem

Ability to translate technical features into simple, engaging, real‑world photography guidance

Proven success in training, influencing, and building relationships in retail environments

Experience managing a territory with a high level of autonomy

Comfortable selling directly to consumers and guiding purchase decisions across skill levels

Strong knowledge of both national retail environments and photo specialty channels

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Self‑starter with strong time management and prioritization skills

Portfolio, social media, or examples of photography work (preferred but not required)

Physical Requirements

Regular travel within assigned market; valid driver’s license required

Ability to stand, walk, and engage customers for extended periods

Lift up to 25–50 lbs for merchandising and displays
