The Immersive Design team within TES is hiring a self‑driven, creative, and design‑oriented junior professional with a cinematic eye to contribute towards the creative process and design of quality immersive 3D animated experiences for Lockheed Martin.

What You Will Be Doing
In this role, you will create and modify production‑ready 3D assets optimized for real‑time rendering, and develop interactive applications that meet customer requirements. Working closely with programmers and developers, you will efficiently implement art assets and facilitate rapid iteration of application design and aesthetics. As a key member of the creative team, you will help shape design architectures for real‑time graphics applications, leveraging 3D models, animations, and visual effects to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Who You Are
The ideal candidate for this position is a junior level professional with a strong background in 3D design and development. They should possess intermediate experience with industry‑standard tools such as Unreal Engine, Unity, Maya, and Substance Painter, and a keen eye for detail in laying out and lighting high‑quality, realistic scenes in real‑time engines. They should also have a solid understanding of animation principles, with the ability to animate cameras and 3D assets with ease. Proficiency in Unreal Blueprints and Unreal Sequencer is essential, while experience with Unreal VFX Graph is a plus. Excellent communication and collaborative skills are required, as they will be working closely with cross‑functional teams to bring projects to life. Actual app development experience is also highly desirable, providing a valuable perspective in the development process.

Basic Qualifications

Experience using development tools such as Unreal Engine, Unity, or comparable applications.

Proficiency in tools for VFX design (Houdini, Maya, RedShift, Photoshop) or video production (After Effects, Premiere).

Solid understanding and knowledge of digital media and application development.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries.

Strong writing and editing skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with multiple deadlines.

Ability to multitask on projects requiring broad skill sets while meeting time‑sensitive deliverables.

Ability to work in a virtual, team‑focused workgroup with many inter‑dependencies.

Creatively and efficiently work individually and collaboratively under pressure to deliver high‑quality content.

US Citizenship required due to system access.

Desired Skills

Working knowledge of various 3D modeling packages such as Maya, Modo, 3DSMAX, etc.

Familiarity with CAD data and conversion to create optimized polygon meshes.

Understanding of Physically‑Based Rendering (PBR) textures and shaders.

Working knowledge of HDRP pipeline in Unity or Unreal Engine.

Salary and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $67,000 – $117,990. For most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York, the range is $77,000 – $133,400. Salary will vary with work location and other factors. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, Employee Assistance Program, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
